   can students continue to smoke in their bedrooms in halls of residence ?

Smoking is not permitted in ANY communal areas in Halls of Residence, students may only smoke in study bedrooms if it is a designated smoking room.

Any student found smoking in a non-smoking bedroom and/or communal area will face disciplinary action from the Warden and a possible fine from the University and/or Southampton City Council.
