   Do I need to arrange council tax exemption ?

If you are living in University Halls of Residence then you will not need to provide evidence to the City Council that you are exempt from Council Tax.

 

If you are living in private accommodation then you will need to visit your school office in order to request a ‘Council Tax Exemption Letter’. You will need to forward this letter to the City Council so that they do not bill you for Council Tax. You can call the Council Tax office on 02380 832349 if you have further enquiries
