Any member of the Union can attend Union Council meetings, including life members and associate members. However, only current Union members may speak at a meeting of Council, and only elected Council members have a vote.
Sabbatical Officers, Executive Officers and UCOMs are elected at the Main Union elections. Other Council Members are elected at a meeting of Council, and any current member can stand for a position. The Chair of Council is also elected in this way.
