<description>yes if you are a 3rd or 4th year.
responce from iss: 
&quot;any student who has been migrated to Exchange recently (typically 3rd 4th years etc)  can have IMAP enabled for their account. All they need to do is send an email to Serviceline (serviceline@soton.ac.uk) to request it.
1st and 2nd year students (people who have always been on Exchange and never had imap access to their email) are not eligible for this&quot;</description>
